Data Scientist Position at a Leading Online Forex and CFD Trading Company

Role Overview: As a Data Scientist and customer insights specialist, you will harness the power of data to fuel business growth and enhance decision-making processes. Your expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive algorithm development will be pivotal in providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to propel the company forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis and reporting on diverse company initiatives.
  • Undertake quantitative analysis, data mining, and present insights focusing on customer behavior, trading patterns, and internal/external factors.
  • Develop, test, and maintain analytical solutions, dashboards, statistical models, and predictive algorithms.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytics requests across departments (Sales, Dealing, Operations, Compliance, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Data Warehouse team to define necessary metrics for analysis.
  • Define, evaluate, and monitor key metrics to support business initiatives.
  • Share expertise and contribute to the team's skill development.
  • Design and implement machine learning models for deep insights into customer trading and revenue data.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data science/analytics.
  • Proven track record in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, and distributions.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills for complex queries.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate solutions promptly.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality control, error resolution in data analysis, and research for process improvement.
  • Experience with version control software, such as Git.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn new techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, and collaborate efficiently with international teams.
  • Experience with agile practices is preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
