Our Client is looking for a committed and skilled Security Engineer to be a part of our team. This role is essential for protecting our company's digital infrastructure by overseeing and enhancing our security mechanisms. The Security Engineer will handle a range of technical and administrative duties to keep our IT systems secure from threats.
Primary Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)
- Firewall Administration: Configure, oversee, and maintain firewalls, specifically focusing on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems.
- VPN Management: Establish, manage, and resolve issues for VPNs, using technologies from Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure.
- Scripting: Employ scripting languages like BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to automate security operations and workflows.
- Privileged Identity Management: Control sensitive access and identities using CyberArk.
- Penetration Testing: Support in executing penetration tests to pinpoint network vulnerabilities.
- Security Policy and Documentation: Create and document detailed security policies for distribution across the company.
- Security Training Program: Oversee and improve the information security training program to heighten staff awareness and adherence.
- Vendor Security Onboarding: Direct the security evaluation and integration of new IT vendors to align with our security protocols.
- Application Security Design: Work alongside software development teams to enforce strong security features in all applications.
Requirements
- Scripting Proficiency: Proficient in at least one scripting language to assist with automation and configuration tasks.
- Security Fundamentals: Strong grasp of security principles applicable to UNIX or Windows environments.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: Required to have professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a security engineering role or related position.
- IaC Tools Knowledge: Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform, to enhance security automation.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
