Seasonal Chef - Self Employed Contract

Client: Our client is a well-established small hotel focused on providing top-notch hospitality services to golf enthusiasts. They operate a restaurant and two accommodation units with a total of 48 rooms, primarily attended to by a diverse team from Sweden, Denmark, and Czech Republic. With a restaurant managed by a team of dedicated chefs, they're looking for passionate individuals to join them in creating culinary delights for their guests.

Role Description:
As a Seasonal Chef, you will manage the entire culinary process from start to finish, with no assistant staff. Your tasks will range from planning and preparing a daily lunch dish and weekly menus, to running a la carte services and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This role requires a flexible, fit, and communicative individual with experience in classical chef work and a positive attitude towards physical work.
Working Hours:
The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, likely extending to 45-50 hours over the contract period. Work is scheduled in shifts for lunch (8 AM to 5 PM) and evening (2 PM to 11 PM), with two days off per week and every third weekend free according to shift planning.
Compensation:
The hourly wage is €22.50 (pre-taxes and social security) for chefs with over 5 years of experience. Applicants with less than 5 years of experience will initially receive €18.75 per hour. Please note that as a Swedish Self-Employed worker, earnings are subject to approximately a 40% fiscal charge.
Qualifications:
Fluent in English (spoken and verified).
Positive attitude towards physical work.
Good health condition.
Experience in chef work or a similar role.
Knowledge of hotel work is a plus.
Selection Process:
Candidates will undergo an online interview conducted by the hotel management. Successful candidates will then be invited for a 14-day on-site probationary test period, for which travel and accommodation will be provided free of charge.
Accommodation:
Free accommodation is provided in a large, well-refurbished villa close to the hotel. Each resident has their own room with a private bathroom, and shared access to the kitchen and laundry facilities.
Additional Perks:
Free travel to and from the country of origin at arrival and departure for the 14-day test.
Free internet WIFI 24/7.
Work clothes and bedclothes supplied by the client.
Bikes available for personal use.
