1. Preventive and breakdown maintenance of Waha electrical equipment at voltage levels 480V, 4.16kV, 13.8kV, 34.5kV:
- Power transformers;
- LV Switchboards;
- MV Switchboards;
- MCC;
- Switch racks;
- Power station switchgear;
- Substation main and auxiliary equipment;
- Motors;
- Chargers and batteries;
- UPS system, batteries;
- MOV power supply;
- Protection relays;
- MV CB, schematic
cct, trip, close, test, operation;
- LV CB, schematic
cct, trip, close, test, operation;
- Lighting circuits;
- Floodlights;
- Ex equipment;
2. Preventive and breakdown maintenance of Waha electrical installations at voltage levels 480V, 4.16kV, 13.8kV, 34.5kV:
- MV and LV cables, cable glands, cable joints;
- Grounding system and grounding components;
- OHL, insulators, wire, supports etc;
- Distribution boards;
- Junction boxes;
- Fuse boxes;
- Cable trays;
3. Use of all instruments necessary for preventive and breakdown maintenance (Megger, insulation resistance tester, AVO meters, etc.)
4. On-job training for Waha personnel
5. Troubleshooting for either breakdown or system faults on electrical equipment and installations
6. Repairing of faulty equipment or installation
7. To apply HSE measures during work
8. Installation of new electrical components and fittings
9. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
10. Connect wires and cables to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
11. Make cable joints for LV and MV cables
12. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
13. Use a variety of tools such as power construction equipment
14. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment
15. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
16. Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
17. Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
18. Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
19. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, or testing lamp
20. Examines and tests such elements of systems as distribution panel, controls, circuit fixtures and motors to locate obvious faults such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections, and worn motors
21. Replaces faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, insulators, and other simple elements of electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances
22. Renews circuits either by isolating and cutting out defective wiring and replacing it with new wiring or by splicing ends of broken wires
23. Dismantles electrical devices and components with hand tools
24. Replaces such defective mechanical parts as bushings and such related electrical parts in transformers, assembling components according to diagrams
25. Cuts and shapes conduit with hand tools and fastens it in place with brackets
26. Cuts and shapes cable trays
27. Runs wire through conduit and makes connections to complete circuits
28. Assembles, installs, and connects components of switchboards and distribution panels and connects them to units controlled
29. Mounts motors, transformer, lighting fixtures or other equipment into position and completes circuits, according to diagram specifications
30. Makes repairs, cleans, lubricates and stores maintenance tools and equipment
31. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
32. Lubricates and cleans parts

Rotation: 8 weeks ON followed by 4 Weeks OFF
One year contract renewable
Daily rate: $118 (One Hundred & Eighteen US Dollars) per work day.
Contract Status: Single with full board and lodging provided.
Accommodation: Standard double rooms as
offer by client to expatriate employees.
Insurance: Medical Insurance will be provided whilst in Libya
Travel: Economy class airline tickets will be provided
