Senior Internal Compliance Auditor / Sofia

You'll be working within a multi-asset platform that values audit expertise, regulatory precision, and forward-thinking risk management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute internal audits focused on regulatory compliance, internal controls, and operational risk.

  • Conduct risk assessments, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to identify key compliance risks.

  • Assess internal control frameworks against MiFID II, ESMA, GDPR, MiCA, and other applicable standards.

  • Draft and present clear, actionable audit reports to senior stakeholders and leadership.

  • Monitor changes in regulation and proactively adjust audit focus and controls.

  • Oversee fieldwork and ensure audit quality aligns with international standards and internal methodologies.

  • Support junior auditors with subject-matter guidance and promote audit best practices.

  • Participate in compliance-driven projects, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in internal or external audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management.

  • Background in financial services, fintech, or regulated institutions is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of EU compliance frameworks: MiFID II, ESMA, GDPR. MiCA experience is a plus.

  • Excellent written and spoken English (C1+).

  • Experience in drafting audit reports and interacting with senior leadership.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.

  • Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, ICA, or CRCM are an advantage.
