Our client is a leader in the rapidly expanding field of online currency trading services for retail and institutional traders. The firm operates out of offices in San Francisco, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney and Sofia.

The Financial Crime Compliance Assistant Vice President will report to the Financial Crime Compliance Senior Vice President and will facilitate the continuous development of a robust Financial Crime Compliance (AML/CTF, Sanctions, ABC, MAR, Fraud, etc.) function within a dynamic and ever-expanding global online forex trading business. The role will require the individual to be responsive to the needs of the business and proactive in coming up with solutions to meet industry standards in an ever-changing regulatory environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct day to day management of Financial Crime Compliance monitoring team members and workload on an ongoing basis
  • Manage escalations from Financial Crime Compliance staff as well as outside business units
  • Oversee the Financial Crime Compliance program which includes identifying regulatory changes that impact the program and ensuring that risks identified are incorporated into policies and procedures
  • Maintain Financial Crime Compliance manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Manage the flow of communication for the Financial Crime Compliance team to the rest of the Compliance department and other relevant parties globally
  • Maintain an up-to-date regulatory knowledge base as rules and regulations change over time
  • Provide advice, analysis and/or resolution on Financial Crime Compliance related concerns and queries
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned


  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other related field
  • 2-4 years of prior AVP equivalent management experience
  • Sound proven compliance experience or relevant department experience
  • Working knowledge of Financial Crime Compliance regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work with the business and build strong working relationships
  • Team oriented and able to prioritize in a fast moving, constantly changing environment
  • Analytical and problem solving skills; and attention to detail
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other related field
  • 2-4 years of prior experience in modeling and analytics
  • Prior experience in Banking, Insurance or other Financial Services business
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • A talent for gathering, organizing and simplifying complex information from multiple sources and systems; ability to produce succinct reports
  • Knowledge of financial markets, commodities, forex and on-line trading platforms
  • Exceptional project management skills
