Our client is a leader in the rapidly expanding field of online currency trading services for retail and institutional traders. The firm operates out of offices in San Francisco, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney and Sofia.
 
We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to join the Central Compliance team in our Sofia office.  
The position will be focusing primarily on the Regulatory Audits and General Compliance Inquiries functions within the team. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating regulatory audits and requests for information from European and overseas regulators, with specific emphasis on timely execution and delivery. As such requests may focus on various business operations and functions, you will be expected to interact with peers and Compliance professionals, various levels of management, and other internal and external parties, including regulatory agencies.
 
In addition, you will be responsible for responding to internal and external escalations and compliance inquiries, monitor employee activity, and perform various tasks that fulfill our clients obligations imposed by regulatory authorities (e.g. the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”).
 
As a Central Compliance Associate you will:
  • Develop and maintain internal compliance procedures
  • Develop and maintain the required knowledge and experience to oversee and assist with the completion of regulatory audits and regulatory requests for information
  • Liaise with business lines and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, effective, and timely completion of regulatory requests
  • Develop and maintain the required knowledge and experience to perform tasks related to FCA rules and requirements
  • Research and respond to internal and external inquiries and escalations
  • Provide regulatory reports on an on-going basis as required by regulators
  • Assist with general responsibilities and designated tasks of the Central Compliance team
  • Support the overall Central Compliance function, including special projects, as assigned
  • Stay abreast of the regulatory environment and expectations  
     
 Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Audit (non-financial)/Project Management or relevant Compliance Experience
  • Detailed knowledge of FCA Rules and other relevant financial legislation is preferred
  • Highly developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
