Our client, delivering next generation solutions that solve the most complex sensing, networking and communications challenges facing our U.S. Federal Government Customers, is seeking a Sr. Vulnerability Researcher for our Florham Park, NJ, Lisle, IL, Herndon, VA, Columbia, MD or Tampa, FL locations.
In this position you will: Independently research and analyze software implementations to determine possible vulnerability issues.
You will be joining the elite team that focuses on the security of modern service provider scale communication networks, including 4G LTE, IP/MPLS, and optical transport (DWDM,
OTN).  As an experienced developer with a passion for computer science, you will learn in- demand skills such as reverse engineering and software analysis and then advance the state-of- the-art in these areas.  Our fully functional network test beds provide the perfect environment for your research and development of new wireline and/or wireless network features and functionality.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•     Lead vulnerability research to actively analyze security functions for design weaknesses, technical flaws, and system vulnerabilities
•     Research new threats, attack vectors and risks and develop techniques and tools to analyze and expose vulnerabilities in various form
•     Research solutions to challenging cyber security and computer networking problems
•     Identify and evaluate security strengths and weaknesses
•     Lead reverse engineering tasks on Windows, Linux, mobile device and other embedded platforms
•     Design, implement and test tools and techniques as an individual or as part of a small team
•     Lead the development of relationships with customers collaborating to identify new challenges to resolve
•     Present and demonstrate to customers
•     Identify, create and propose new research projects
•     Travel to other  locations of the company or customer sites as necessary
•     Understand and adhere to all  Ethical and Compliance policies of the company.
•     Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to EH&S policies and procedures of the company.
•     Perform other duties as required
•     Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the duties of the position
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
•     BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
•     Masters preferred
•     Ethical hacking skills and experience with reverse engineering tools like IDApro, Ollydbg, gdb
•     Strong Computer science and networking background with expert knowledge in IP
networking, cyber security and software development
•     Strong software development skills and demonstrated experience in current languages such as C, C++.
•     Experience with Linux operating systems at all layers (boot, kernel space, user space)
•     Demonstrated expertise with reverse engineering tools.
•     Demonstrated ability to identify vulnerabilities in complex software system platforms beyond basic linux and windows platforms.
•     Demonstrated expertise with multiple assembly languages, including: MIPS, x86, PowerPC, ARM
•     Recognized expert within the reverse engineering and vulnerability research community.
•     Ability to obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level necessary to perform the duties of the position
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
•     Advanced degree preferred
•     Experience in current reverse engineering tools: Idpro, Ollydbg
